His pioneering work on CWS water-wall gasifiers has advanced the gasification process, allowing the use of high ash fusion temperature (AFT) raw materials and achieving commercial application. He developed the process technology and equipment for the CWS water-wall gasifier with a direct-connected syngas cooler and successfully demonstrated this technology at a commercial scale.
