Mazaher Maghsoudloo embarked on his academic journey in the field of software engineering, earning his B.Sc. from Islamic Azad University in Sari, Iran, in 2003. His passion for computer science led him to pursue an M.Sc. in Computer Science at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, where he graduated in 2014. Driven by a keen interest in the intersection of computational methods and biological sciences, he completed his PhD in Bioinformatics from Tehran University, Kish International Campus, in 2020.

Mazaher has held several significant positions throughout his career, reflecting his expertise and dedication to bioinformatics and computational biology. Since 2022, he has been serving in the Department of Genetics, Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology, at Tehran Medical Sciences, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran. He contributed extensively to various research projects at the Laboratory of Systems Biology & Bioinformatics from 2015 to 2022, enhancing the understanding of complex biological systems. His long tenure at The Center of Research and Training for Occupational Technical Safety and Health in Tehran, Iran, from 2008 to 2023, highlights his commitment to integrating bioinformatics with occupational health and safety research.

Genome-wide copy number analysis of circulating tumor cells in breast cancer patients with liver metastasis (Major Cultivation Projects of Achievement Transformation in Sichuan Colleges and Universities) from 2017 to 2020. Comparative mRNA/micro-RNA co-expression network driving melanomagenesis by promoting epithelial–mesenchymal transition and vasculogenic mimicry signaling (supported by the Southwest Medical University, Sichuan Province, China) from 2019 to 2021. Treatment of malignant pleural effusion in non-small cell lung cancer with VEGF-directed therapy (supported by the Southwest Medical University and the Research Foundation of the Science and Technology Department of Sichuan Province) from 2017 to 2020.

Dr. Donna A. Ruch began her academic journey at The Fisher College of Business, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1991. Her passion for social work led her to The Ohio State University, where she earned a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) in 2012, followed by a Master’s in the Study of Law (MSL) in 2016. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Social Work at The Ohio State University in 2017, focusing on child and adolescent mental health.

Dr. Ruch serves as a Principal Investigator at the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research at The Abigail Wexner Research Institute, Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Her previous roles include being a Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Patient-Centered Pediatric Research.
