Her dedication to academia culminated in a Ph.D. from the Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) Deemed to be University in 2023.

Dr. Elavarasi boasts an extensive teaching career spanning over 23 years. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at AMET University, a position she has held since July 2014. Her career began as a Lecturer at I.F.E.T. College of Engineering in 2000, followed by various academic roles at Valliammai Engineering College, where she progressed from Lecturer to Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) over a span of 13 years.
