Yongmei Wang is a Professor at the National Space Science Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializing in optical remote sensing for the atmosphere and space weather. She earned her BSc in Atmospheric Physics from Chengdu University of Information Technology and completed her MSc and PhD in Space Physics at CAS. Since 2001, she has led the development of space-borne optical instruments for airglow, aurora, ozone, and aerosol monitoring, serving key roles on FengYun-3B/C, FengYun-3F, and GaoFen-5B missions. She is Chief Engineer of the UV Imager on SMILE. Her work has earned national recognition, with an h-index of 9, 67 documents, and 333 citations, reflecting strong scientific impact and leadership in space instrumentation.
