Dr. Zeenat Sheerazi embarked on her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, U.P. in 2013. She further honed her expertise by pursuing a Master of Science in Chemistry from the same institution in 2015. Her relentless pursuit of knowledge led her to Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi, where she completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2023. Her doctoral research, titled “Surface Modification of Metal Oxide Nanoparticles and Their Application in Water Treatment,” laid the foundation for her future endeavors in environmental sustainability.

Dr. Sheerazi is currently working in the field of synthesis of functionalized metal oxide nanoparticles, with a special focus on their application in wastewater treatment. Her expertise spans both in-situ and ex-situ synthesis of various surface-modified metal oxide nanoparticles. She has mastered their complete characterization through advanced techniques such as FTIR, Powder XRD, SEM, TEM, N2 sorption, and VSM studies. Her research is pivotal in the removal of dyes and heavy metals from water through adsorption processes. Additionally, Dr. Sheerazi has contributed significantly as a technical assistant in the DST-SERB sponsored Yamuna River project (2023) in India.
