Dr. Zuhal Hamd embarked on her academic journey with a B.Sc. (Honors) in Diagnostic Radiology from Sudan University of Sciences & Technology, Sudan, in 2007. She furthered her education with an M.Sc. in Diagnostic Radiology from the same institution in 2014, and later earned her Ph.D. in Diagnostic Radiology in 2017. Demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning, she also obtained an M.Sc. in Clinical Human Anatomy from the National University-Sudan in 2020.

Dr. Hamd has a robust professional background, beginning as a Radiologic Technologist at Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital in Khartoum, Sudan, from 2009 to 2012. She then transitioned into academia, serving as a lecturer in the Diagnostic Imaging Department at the College of Radiology and Medical Imaging, National University-Sudan, from 2014 to 2019. She held the position of Assistant Professor at Al-Ghad International Colleges for Applied and Medical Sciences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2017 to 2019. Since August 2019, Dr. Hamd has been a faculty member at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, where she was promoted to Associate Professor in June 2023.
