Saralah Devi A/P Mariamdaran is an accomplished academic and researcher at the UUM College of Arts and Sciences, where she serves in the Department of Applied Psychology, Policy, and Social Work. With a strong foundation in psychology and counselling, she has established herself as a dedicated scholar committed to advancing knowledge in correctional science, psychological intervention, and applied social sciences. She earned her PhD in Correctional Science with a specialization in Psychology and Counselling from Universiti Utara Malaysia in 2013, after completing her Master’s degree in Counselling at Universiti Malaya and her Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Her research interests reflect a deep engagement with psychosocial well-being, behavioural rehabilitation, correctional programmes, and counselling-based interventions tailored to diverse communities. She focuses on integrating psychological principles into practical frameworks that support rehabilitation, emotional resilience, and positive behavioural outcomes. Her scholarly work is frequently recognized for its relevance to contemporary psychological practice and its contribution to policy development and community-level transformation. Dr. Mariamdaran has received multiple prestigious awards for excellence in research, teaching, and academic contribution. Her accolades include the Anugerah Penerbitan Prosiding (Scopus/WOS/ERA), Anugerah Blended Learning, and the Best Research Publication Award from the Higher Education Commission (2024). She has also been acknowledged for her community engagement through recognitions such as the SUIL Penghargaan Program Temuseru by Penjara Pokok Sena. These achievements underscore her commitment to high-quality scholarship, innovative teaching, and meaningful societal impact.
