Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science, Silvassa | India

Dr. Janhavi Ashish Arekar’s research centers on plant biotechnology, tissue culture, and the exploration of bioactive compounds from medicinal plants, particularly species of Momordica. Her work emphasizes organogenesis, in vitro regeneration, and the extraction and characterization of secondary metabolites with pharmacological potential, including antibacterial, anti-HIV, and insulin-like activities. She has also contributed to ethnobotanical and ethnomedical studies focusing on traditional medicinal plants and their therapeutic applications. Her research extends to environmental and biodiversity studies, plant-based drug discovery, and analytical techniques such as HPTLC and HPLC. Additionally, her work integrates nanotechnology, ecological health perspectives, and molecular approaches to advance sustainable and applied plant science research
