His exemplary performance earned him the Best Student of the Session 2012-2016 award from the Study Aid Foundation of Pakistan. Building on this foundation, he pursued an M.Phil. in Microbiology at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China (2017-2019), where he investigated the physiological functions of Vibrio cholerae conserved genes.
