Bagora Bayala was born on December 25, 1984, in Aboisso, Ivory Coast. He displayed a strong interest in science from an early age, leading him to pursue a rigorous academic path. In 2003, he completed his Baccalaureate series D in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He then attended the University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry of Natural Substances in 2007. His passion for these fields motivated him to further his studies, obtaining a Master’s degree in 2008 and another Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry of Natural Substances in 2010. His academic journey culminated in 2014 with dual Ph.D. degrees: one in Molecular Biology from the University of Ouagadougou and another in Molecular Physiology and Genetics from Blaise Pascal University in France.

Dr. Bayala’s professional career is marked by significant contributions to academia and research. Since 2022, he has served as the President of the International Center for the Promotion and Development of Teaching, Research, and Innovation in Africa (CIPVERIA), a non-profit association in Burkina Faso. He has been an Assistant Professor at the Ecole Normale SupĂ©rieure (ENS), Burkina Faso, since 2021. Dr. Bayala is also the Executive Director of the Burkina Faso Center for Research and Fight against Cancer and Other Non-communicable Diseases (CERLUC-MNT), a role he has held since 2017. Additionally, he is an Assistant Professor at the University Norbert Zongo and a teacher-researcher in Biochemistry-Molecular Biology at Norbert Zongo University since 2014. He has also been a temporary teacher and associate researcher at Joseph KI-ZERBO University and the Pietro Annigoni Biomolecular Research Center (CERBA).

Antonio Vittorio Sterpetti was born on January 11, 1956, in Rome, Italy. His educational journey began at the Istituto Salesiano Pio XI and continued at the Liceo Classico Alessandro Torlonia in Avezzano. He pursued his medical degree at the UniversitĂ  di Roma La Sapienza, graduating in July 1980 with honors (110/110 cum laude). His residency in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery was completed at the same university, where he earned diplomas in both specialties with the highest honors.

His international exposure includes visits to prestigious institutions such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Englewood General Hospital, and Henry Ford Hospital.
