Essaki Raj’s academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, affiliated with Manonmanium Sundaranar University, where he graduated with first-class honors in 2003. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a Masterās degree in Power Electronics & Industrial Drives at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, where he graduated with distinction, securing an impressive 84.2% in 2006. Driven by a passion for renewable energy, he completed his Ph.D. in Renewable Energy & Electrical Machine from St. Peterās Institute of Higher Education and Research in 2018. His thesis focused on “Wind driven self-excited induction generators with three stages special stator winding for standalone applications.”

Dr. Raj’s professional career has been primarily associated with Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai, where he has progressed through various academic ranks. Starting as a Lecturer in February 2007, he was promoted to Senior Lecturer in January 2009. His dedication and expertise led to his promotion to Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in July 2012, and later to Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in July 2015. In July 2019, he was appointed as an Associate Professor, and since January 2022, he has been serving as a Professor.
