Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned his MSc. in Construction Management with a focus on pavement research from LSU in December 2021, achieving a GPA of 4.04/4.0. His undergraduate degree is a BSc. in Civil Engineering from Mansoura University, Egypt, awarded in 2016. Ibrahim also holds a Fundamental Engineering License (FE No. 76810) valid from 2022 to 2030 and has received a diploma in Materials Test System (MTS) Test Suite Training from MTS Systems Corporation.

Since May 2024, Ibrahim has been working as a Research Associate 5 at LSU and LTRC, where he co-leads research projects focused on low-carbon transportation materials and asphalt binder evaluation.
