Diana Atuase, born on 11th July 1979 in Pusiga, Ghana, has established herself as a prominent figure in the field of library and information science. Her academic journey began with a solid foundation in education at Bolgatanga Girls’ Secondary School, followed by a Teacher Certificate ‘A’ from Gbewaah Teacher Training College. She furthered her studies with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies from the University of Cape Coast. Her quest for knowledge continued as she earned an MPhil in Information Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon, and culminated in a PhD in Information Science from the University of South Africa in 2022.

💼Professional Endeavors 

Diana’s professional career is deeply rooted in the academic library sector. Since November 2009, she has been a dedicated member of the Sam Jonah Library at the University of Cape Coast, where she currently serves as a Senior Assistant Librarian. Her roles have included Acting Head of the Department of Information Technology and Research Support, Head of the Distance Learning Library Services, and Junior Assistant Librarian overseeing the University Gallery and Satellite Libraries. Her responsibilities have ranged from managing library policies and supervising staff to offering information literacy training and research support.
